Cathy Johnson, MA (she/her)

Reigstered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Catherine is a Gen X, Florida native who enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, camping, making art, and practicing gentle yoga at the library. She has worked with clients who have experienced childhood trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, substance abuse, and anxiety in residential treatment. She supports those seeking clarity, empowerment, and a deeper connection to their own voice.

Her approach integrates body awareness and emotional processing, accompanying clients as they release internalized shame, cultivate self-compassion, create healthy boundaries, and experience meaningful change. Catherine is a Certified International Yoga Therapist and is skilled in weaving the therapeutic tools of mindfulness, trauma-informed breath awareness, neuroception regulation, and interoception into a counseling session when appropriate.

She is married to her childhood sweetheart and is a loving mom to two wonderful adults, a 17-year-old beagle, and two kitties.
